Are gucci watches good quality? Or should I wait to buy Cartier, Montblanc or Baume et Mercier?

I can’t afford Cartier, Montblanc or Baume et Mercier right now (their watches start at around 2,000 which is twice what I can afford) but I saw this really beautiful Gucci watch at gucci yesterday. It was stainless and had little diamonds instead of the numbers, it was a little over 1,000$. Are gucci watches good quality? Or should I save more money to buy one from the top brands?
Thanks!

  1. Save the money. Im a big fan of gucci and I can tell you that their watches are only expensive because of the brand name. Cartier (not so good imo, but definetely on the luxury range), and these kind of brands have their own mechanical movement. Im not sure who makes Gucci watches for them, but for sure they don’t (kinda like the same with burberry watches, theyre made by Fossil). Get a used one if you cant afford it. Look for cartiers in the 1k range on eBay AND MAKE SURE THE BUYER HAS A REPUTABLE FEEDBACK AND A RETURN POLICY (this just proves that they are authentic, and just in case, you might get it checked before the return policy expires).
